Greater broadband speeds to your home and workplace are here, or will be soon. Increasingly, consumers are able to source content, products and services, and interact with companies around the world, rather than with companies based in New Zealand.
Of the top ten websites visited by New Zealanders, 81% of their Internet time is directed offshore.
However, there is still time to make advances in developing digital relationships with New Zealand-based consumers. There is a global consumer base more open and able to transact with New Zealand businesses. In order to realise these opportunities, change must be made.
The Digital Leadership Group (DLG) has been established to provide a strong industry voice to assist New Zealand businesses as they adapt to remain competitive in an increasingly digitised and interactive environment.
The DLG is made up of senior digital leaders within CAANZ (Communications Agencies Association) who are exposed to international environments and are at the forefront of helping clients succeed in a digital environment. DLG members are united in their concern with the lack of digital progress at a New Zealand business level and have joined together to provide a platform for change.
